APPEARANCE
Appearance Description:
Auron's appearance bears that he has endured more wear from battle than one should. There is a large scar over the right side of his face and over his eye, which is constantly shut as a result. His left eye is amber-colored. He has long dark black hair with grey streaks that is held back with a gold ribbon, and has some stubble on his chin.
Sir Auron wears a deep red haori with blue lining, kept closed with a thick, black and blue strap with two brown belts wrapped around it. He tucks his left arm in the sleeve of the haori in a makeshift sling. He wears black pants and shoes, the latter of which have brown straps and triangular metal plating adorning them. Auron also wears a black shirt with a grey collar with intersecting brown straps that is high enough to cover his mouth.

WEAPONRY
Auron’s very well known for wielding large blades such as a katana, but he carries his celestial weapon, Masumane, on him at all times.
ABILITIES
Bushido: Dragon Fang, Shooting Star, Banishing Blade, Tornado
TALENTS
Auron's not only good with a katana, but he's good at other forms of kick-assititude, but just prefers his blades to hand-to-hand combat. Auron is also a professional brewer; he mixes up his own concoctions from herbs that he runs into during his travels, and even if they seem unlikely to go well together, the legendary guardian makes the combination work.
PERSONAL
Personality:
Auron is a man of few words. He speaks only if he feels necessary, and when he does, it's usually important. He appears as a strict, no-nonsense warrior with a dry wit. Auron devotes his life solely to protecting the lives of summoners, or those he felt needed protection. He always put other matters before his own needs, and is overall unconcerned for his own well being. He is a man of influence, having inspired many to become guardians. However, beneath the silence Auron is still outraged and disgusted over the events of ten years ago during his pilgrimage with Braska, and appears to still mourn for the loss of Braska and Jecht. Auron has little to no respect for Yevon, showing no regard for them, likely due to his knowledge of their inner workings and corruption.
History:
Auron was once a devoted warrior monk, having a high ranking within the clergy. However his career reached its ultimate end when he refused to marry the daughter of a high priest, losing his rank to his friend Wen Kinoc.
Soon after, he was enlisted to serve Lord Braska, Yuna's father and a High Summoner, as a guardian. The two of them reach common ground, since they are both outcasts of Yevon. Infuriated when it is revealed to him that Braska and Jecht, another guardian, gave up their lives to defeat Sin, he attacks Lady Yunalesca, leaving him mortally injured. Despite the agony from his wounds, he crawls all the way to Bevelle before he didn't have a single amount of strength left in him. He later encounters Kimahri outside the city, and requests that he fulfill a promise that he made to Braska (which was for Yuna to be moved to the Isle of Besaid, so that she could live a peaceful childhood), and dies soon after.
He becomes an unsent, being careful not to let anyone find out about his current status, and takes advantage of being an undead to travel to Dream Zanarkand on the reborn Sin. During his time there, he watched over Tidus and acted as a mentor to him, until he and Tidus were transported to Spira by the request of Tidus' father.
Once back in Spira, he takes on the position as Yuna's guardian, and once again defeats Sin as well as Yu Yevon, and is finally sent to the Farplane to rest.

Auron poised himself at the very edge of the trail leading from Mount Gagazet, overlooking the location of where the man relived most of his nightmares: Zanarkand Ruins. Back when the gargantuan creature known as Sin terrorized Spira, summoners and their guardians made a pilgrimage here to retrieve the Final Aeon from a fayth known as Yunalesca. Summoners and guardians were sacrificed in order to save Spira, something the legendary guardian was all too familiar with. He lost two friends due to the Final Summoning, and even went back to Yunalesca to take his revenge for their deaths. The ending came out disastrous for the ex-warrior monk.
Lifting his katana back over his shoulder with his good arm, the man continued along the jagged path. He kept watch for fiends that were notorious for wandering the ruins, occasionally adjusting his grip on the handle of his long blade. Due to his past journeys through here, Auron knew what to expect, so he wasn’t going to take any chances. Not that he could lose much more, since he was no longer considered human.
As he was strolling along the pathways, he noticed that pyreflies still took refuge now, occasionally recalling past memories of those also wandered through here, for instance warrior monks that took part in the Machina War long ago, and summoners that also reached their final destination. Auron was reminded of the time that he saw them take on the memory of his first trip through here. He sighed at the very thought of it.
After what seemed like a few hours of rough traveling, he finally reached the end of the pathway. The location was just a pile of rubble of a once beautifully lit city that never went to sleep. Even though Zanarkand was diminished over a thousand years go, Auron managed to find a way to the old machina city. He was sent there on a promise that he made to an old friend of his to take care of his son. A normal person wouldn’t have been able to accomplish such a feat, but Auron never qualified as your typical being. He was always a free spirit that did what he wanted to do.
He gazed around at his surrounding. As he predicted, no one else was present. The ruins were far too dangerous for just anyone to come through. Only those with enough courage and strength could even dare travel through here. And Auron traveled here now four times. Zanarkand Ruins were said to be a holy place of Yevon, however Yevon was in turmoil even before the bringing of the Eternal Calm.
Just when Auron was about to suspect that no one else would arrive here, something caught his eye. Someone was seated near what used to be the docks of Zanarkand. From behind, the figure appeared to be someone he once knew, and so just to cure his curiosity, he stepped closer to the man. As he got closer, he discovered that the man wore a red bandana over wild brown hair and wasn’t wearing anything over his torso. Could this really be true? Or were his eyes deceiving him? There was only one way to find out.
"It’s good to see you again, Jecht."
